Another way to Share Transportation in SA

Hertz On Demand has put ten carshare stations, or “pods”, in downtown San Antonio.  You may have noticed some of them near B-Cycle stations.  A vehicle can be rented for as little as one hour at these Hertz On Demand locations. And, in the month of October, rentals can be as low as $7 per hour, including everything (insurance, fuel, etc.)

The system is open to anyone 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. 

You can reserve the car on the Hertz On Demand website.  Once you enroll at this same website, an electronic key fob or card is provided to you (in about 10 days) which allows you to unlock the car that you reserved.  You will need to return the car to the same location.
